Born and raised in Los Angeles to an immigrant father from Honduras and a career criminal mom from Brooklyn, Chris trained at The Second City Conservatory in Chicago, iO West, and UCB LA.
Chris was most recently seen performing at 2023's SF Sketchfest and was on "Minx" (HBO Max) and "Hacks" (HBO Max) in 2022. He co-created the webseries "7p10e," about a couple who begin dating long distance, that was later turned into TWO different pilots by CBS, Hilary Winston, Carter Bays, and Craig Thomas ("Real Life" and "My Time, Your Time"). He fulfilled a lifelong dream in 2019 when he performed exactly 100 shows Off-Broadway in NYC with the show "#DateMe."
Chris was hand-picked by award-winning comedian Kevin Pollak to be a part of the fully-improvised podcast, Alchemy This! He also created the Chris Alvarado Improv Workshops which have become wildly popular.
He can be seen performing and teaching at The Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica, CA. He plays with his multi- award-winning improv team, Heyday, as well as Pretty, Pretty Pony, and experimental comedy group, Organism. When he's not on stage, he’s reading Eckhart Tolle, surfing, and playing with his puppy pug-mix, Sonny.
