Interested in taking an improv class? You came to the right place.
Let me tell you a little about myself and my "Do You" workshop series. I've been doing improv for 22 years. I'm from L.A., trained at Second City Chicago, iO West (RIP), and UCB LA. I've toured with the Second City BoatCo where I worked with Mick Napier who has influenced my style of play, I'm on the Harold team, Heyday, which was formed at iO West and now performs at the Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica, Ca. Heyday, along with our coach, Karen Graci, created and developed the "Vertical Harold" form. I currently teach (online) at the Westside Comedy Theater and perform with Pretty, Pretty Pony (our Armando-style show), and Nice Chris (my artsy/darker two-person team).
"Do You" like the name suggests, is about taking care of yourself in scenes and shows. Too often I find that performers forget themselves in service of supporting their scene partner which, let's be honest, is really no support at all. Where Do You has landed in this virtual time is with slow and patient scenes. The work is good, the believability is through the roof, and we actually care.
The workshops are Tuesdays 7pm-9pm (PT) and Fridays 12pm-2pm (PT). Class size limited to 8 players to ensure more performance time. The workshop is through zoom and the cost is $25.
Thanks for taking the time to read a little about me and what I do.
